Milwaukee Announced their Next Generation of Cordless Tools – M18 Fuel

Wow it must be my lucky day, another awesome tool from Milwaukee.  This morning we released that Milwaukee has a new Milwaukee Multi-charger that charges both the M12 and M18 at the same time.  I have to say we were pretty excited about that new product.  This time Milwaukee released a more ground breaking tool.  Milwaukee has a new design out for their power tools that is called the Milwaukee M18 Fuel.  The M18 Fuel is designed for extreme performance and has integrated three technologies together.

  • PowerState Brushless Motor
  • Red Lithium Battery Technology
  • RedLink Plus
We heard and saw first hand this new drill at the Milwaukee event.  All I can say is that we were very impressed and this is truly an awesome drill.  More power and lighter weight.  I can’t wait to get my hands on this tool.  OK so what’s so cool about the M18 Fuel?

Milwaukee PowerState Brushless Motor

Obviously the motor is brushless, but what does that mean for you?  It means more durability.  A brushless motor is more efficient at transferring energy.  So it converts power and torque better.  Since it can do more efficiently, you have less heat build up (also less noise).  Less heat build up means longer life.  So Milwaukee is providing a more durable and stronger tool with the PowerState.  A motor that can transfer energy better means less energy is being wasted and more is being transferred to the work.  An all around win, plus you should have a small tool.

Milwaukee Red Lithium Battery

By now you should know about Milwaukee Red Lithium, but if not it is one of the best on the market.  With more run time, power and recharges; you can do more.

Milwaukee RedLink Plus

OK you have the tool and the battery, now you need a way to make them work efficiently together.  That is where the Redlink comes into play.  Redlink bridges the gap and makes the tool, battery and charger all work together to maintain ideal conditions.

So we talked about all the positives to this new generation of technology.  Here is the downside, it doesn’t hit the market until Spring of 2012.  I don’t know about you, but I want it now.  Check out more about the Milwaukee M18 Fuel system.
